Life size animal sculptures

I have a great fondness for the native wildlife of the British isles and as such the sculptures in this series of work are my representations of those animals that interest me. Drawing inspiration from the various animal poems of Ted Hughes, each sculpture attempts to capture the essence of the chosen creature and depict their perceived character. Hand forged from steel and welded together many of these sculptures are intended for display in gardens or natural surroundings, due to their size. I have also made a number as interior sculptures, which are mounted on smaller bases.
